PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont announces that it has received a $1,500 grant from Fallon Health for the nonprofit’s continued work in fighting food insecurity in the Berkshires.
Goodwill receives grants for job skills programs

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont announces that it has received $8,500 in grants from Berkshire Bank, Greylock Federal Credit Union and MountainOne Bank to support its Soar for Success employability skills program. The nonprofit social services organization received an additional $2,500 from Greylock Federal Credit Union toward promotion and other costs associated with its annual meeting in October.
Berkshire Athenaeum celebrates Earth Day with computer recycling collection

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – In observance of Earth Day on Monday, April 22, 2024, the Berkshire Athenaeum, Pittsfield’s Public Library, is collaborating with Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont by hosting a computer recycling collection starting Monday, April 22, and continuing through Saturday, April 27.

It’s fun honoring Julie Parker, manager of the Goodwill Industries store at 336 North St. She becomes so excited and is so obviously pleased if people make a fuss over her. That and the fact that she is a most unusual lady are probably the reasons her co-workers were happy to throw a party for her yesterday at the store in observance of her birthday. Julie was 80 on New Year’s day.
Pittsfield Cooperative Bank Donates $1,000 to Goodwill

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Pittsfield Cooperative Bank recently made a $1,000 donation to Goodwill Industries of the Berkshires and Southern Vermont’s Soar for Success program. The Soar for Success program focuses on job training in custodial skills, customer service, employability skills guidance for individuals preparing for job interviews, and provides interview and work attire.
